field notes from the lighthouse

the light, and what keeps it lit

Hi, I’m Michael Robin

For a long time, I’ve tried to keep my writing, my work, and my life in separate folders. The professional site had one voice.

The observations had another.

The garden came through as a metaphor for marketing growth.

Each thing was tidy on its own and false in aggregate.

The lighthouse has changed all that. I hope to consolidate into one space, with several rooms under one roof, encapsulating my creative self and showing the corners of my personality in each.

Same keeper, different doors. Pick the room that matches what you came for, or wander. All is fine.

The light is what you came for. The rest of it is what keeps that light lit.

Enjoy your stay.
